Is Clemson good enough to pull this sort of thing off? I understand it and all but are they good enough to reject this kid if he truly still wants to go to Clemson but wanted to a visit somewhere else.

Maybe but the report says that his offer was pulled b/c he didnt show up on his visit.
They dont pull scholarships b/c you get caught with weed - visiting other schools is a much bigger offense

I don't know what Uf's recruiting situation is like right now but will Florida have room for him. I know Muschamp is pulling decommits back.

He is in Knoxville this weekend... I would love to have him. His film on Rivals is pretty impressive.

Rumors are that he got caught with the green stuff.He also is a primadonna and Clemson has bellamy.They'll get another RB.They have a great class coming in and Lane is a good back but they'll be alright.If you haven't noticed Clemson doesn't have problems getting good RBs.

Guys...CU Tiger fan here...word is that it's about more than the green stuff (part of it). Biggest issue is he's been a huge recruiter for us since he's been committed (over a year or so) and this weekend is our prime recruiting wkend...3 5stars in that are not committed...C.J. Spiller came back this weekend to "hang out" & D. Bowers around as well. Football banquet, etc...but Lane decided at the 11th hour to cancel his official visit and go to Tennessee instead...coaches got wind of it (after he supposedly had given them another story) and said that's it...this is after his arrest in Dec. & the coaches standing by him...they gave him a chance to re-affirm his feelings about CU and this is how he thanks them, by saying sorry....not coming this weekend, UT instead...coaches said that's fine you can go somewhere else then...not to mention he was injured last season and rumored to be very lazy in rehab...that's way in some recruiting services, he's been dropping like a rock.

It's not a rumor, he was arrested for possession. Outside of that he lied to the coaches about visting. Plus they got Bellamy who is Lane x100. I actually like Dabo on this one, glad he got balls for once.

Clemson's got 5 RB's on now if Bellamy's commit holds...Ellingon (starter), McDowell (former 4 star RS Soph.), Buice/Howard (RS Fr.) and Bellamy (true frosh)...Tigers will still do some 2 back sets, but will see more 3WR, 1TE/FB, 1 RB in my opinion with Chad Morris now there...or 1 speed back motioning into backfield for speed sweeps, etc. Wish Lane the best though..

Sounds Like Luther Davis all over again. I don't agree with Dank on this one. It sounds sort of petty. These kids only get one chance to do this. He didn't lie he told him next time. But I am sure Dabo knows way more than me so if I was a CU fan I would support his decision.
