The US govt allowed him to become what he became then we did everything possible to get rid of him until there was nothing left to do but kill him. Our guys stood over him and took pictures like he was a deer. And gave the Colombians credit for the kill. Lots of interesting stories surrounding Pablo. From CIA ties to an overpopulation of Hippos ravaging the forests in Colombia.

And apperently there is no dead period.
We are literally in it right now. Hence no visits in or out(the dead is in the middle of off campus visits for coaches as well). In any period, particularly now with agents doing the communicating, phone contact is allowed. Those same agents are also why.

Everyone tampers
Funneling money through a church to recruits in his heyday would tend to make one feel that way. He better watch that high horse before its legs break.
For the 20 plus mil we are paying the staff plus the 35-40 mil roster, plus the 10s of millions we paid to get rid of Kelly it had better not be a rebuild year. The playoffs and competing for titles are the expectations on a yearly basis. We arent spending 100 million dollars this year(granted the Kelly money is spread out) to not make the playoffs.
The question is, what does an elite roster look like in this era of half the team being new every year? No one knows they just assume. Gonna make for exciting times and teams rising from the ashes to compete for titles. Cant project chemistry and everyone is losing talented depth. Injuries will be paramount to whos a contender and whos not. Gonna be lots of millions wasted around the country this year. Lot of schools spending major money for there only to be 1 winner.

Word I heard is the visit did not go well. Kiffin lost out on Sorsby and flew to Knoxville to mend fences. That's from a well-placed source
Need a source a little more well placed. You have to go around your arse to get to your elbow to tie losing Sorsby to the Knoxville trip. Sorsby visted and committed before Leavitt ever hit campus.

I’ll also add this my source said LSU was ready and more than willing to make it work but Demond was getting cold feet do to the gymnastics and legalities of this whole thing.
Im not here to say you do or dont know what you know but this is where you lost me. If those buyout numbers were true, the cost of his deal, 4 mil, the cost of our deal, more than that, and a 4 mil hit on our revenue pie next year, not buying we were gonna pony up in excess of 12 mil for a 1 year player essentially(we'd have to renegotiate next year). Not at all.
Whatever the case we gambled and lost. Now we hope Kiffin closed Leavitt after kissing butt yesterday.

I know it's not a draft, but couldn't the argument be made that once the player signs on recruiting day, then the school owns the rights to that player?
This requires the players to legally be declared employees. Until then they cant be owned or stopped from doing anything. Buyouts are the only remedy and thats essentially why the Williams kid is still at Washington. 10-12 mil is a little steep. The next year's revenue share penalty for the poaching school was a nice touch.

Wait a minute I thought we had north of 30 million to spend on the transfer portal why are we missing out on some of the top targets?
You do realize that 30 mil also goes towards retention and hs recruiting correct? Those totals weren't to be interpreted as purely for the portal. They were to cover the roster including the 50+ kids we already have in the boat. Those DL we have are expensive.
re: What happens when college players consistently make more than their NFL counterparts?

The top reported qb contract in college thus far is the Sorsby 5 mil. NFL qbs make 50 mil. Not in this realm will college players make more than their NFL counterparts.

It's the $7 million Kentucky reportedly offered i dont like. That's s huge number. Then you have the injury which no one seems to really know his progress. Good player, very talented but id wait it out personally. Still 11 more days for kids to enter. Get on the phone and tamper. Tons of freshmen and sophomores out there too talented to wait. We dont have to have an experienced guy even if its more ideal. Not sure its $7 million ideal.
Of course the masses would revolt.

Come on people, that’s actually funny and has truth to it. At this point, that’s all this portal is about.
If its a known reality, as it is, then why is it funny and does it need to be blatantly pointed out? Kiffin was literally hired due to us promising a $30 million warchest. Where do you suppose theyre gonna spend that money if not on players?
It's a troll by someone that prefers communism over capitalism because "tradition". Generally speaking, most traditions die. This one died. Rightfully.

lane would rather have a roster full of guys that have already had 500 plus yard receiving seasons under their belt than guys that have yet to show enough to get on the field on a bad offense.
End of the day its about value. Most likely, as with the OL, Francis values himself more than the staff does. That doesnt mean hes chasing a bag but just one bigger than we're offering. Lane is gonna value production over potential in that regard($). Hes a pure analytical guy. If Francis is willing to accept the value the staff has placed on him then he'd have the same opportunity the kids with production have. Lanes gonna play the best players. Doubt cost plays into that.
I dont disagree with the approach though im not an analytics fan but im also not a fan of paying kids huge money(relatively as they all make money) when they've done nothing to earn it but play hs ball.
Hopefully Francis comes around and proves hes better than the kids valued more than him. If not, bye.
At one point this lady was a fairly attractive human being. And normal appearing. These humiliation rituals are out of control. Her and Ariana Grande have been on a whirlwind tour of humiliating behavior the past couple of months. Im not a big believer in all that illuminati crap but this type of transformation of "stars" the past few years definitely line up with it. Just completely bat shite transformations that no one seems to be able to explain a why for. And these are grown arse adults generally already "established" not kids or teenagers. It's something.
Just typical human behavior these days. Speaking before knowing how things work. Doent matter what any of these kids do or say, the rules are the rules. Schools have a 48 hour window to officially file a kid into the portal. How they choose to use those 48 hours is purely up to the school. If Curnes paperwork was delayed due to any kind of purposeful act, im sure he did something to warrant it. Like maybe talking to schools before he was supposed to. Same happened with the Louisville RB. You play, we play. Simple concept. Kids want their cake and eat it to then bitch when the cake isn't served up on demand. Choices young men, they have consequences.
re: LeBron's top tier agent, Rich Paul, goes after Jordan and his brand

Not sure if you're trying to agree or disagree with what I posted. 2 things are true, what you posted(I also posted) and the fact that half(minimum) J wearers today do not wear them due to anything to do with Jordan other than the name on the shoe. Just a shoe/apparel company. The human is irrelevant to them. Again making what Paul said true. He said half didnt wear Jordan's to be like Mike. Thats true. They wore them because the popular guy in the neighborhood did. Now people wear them due to status pure and simple. Jordan's aren't even attractive footwear. Damn sure not with a suit like those idiots on TV wear.

Not sure what its called but I've grown to be the same way over the past 10 or so years for many of the same reasons. (im 48). Used to be id watch sports all the time and be genuinely interested. Now other than LSU/college football i dont really care. Still watch some but usually dont pay much attention until playoff time. Regular seasons in every sport have been relegated to "busy work" in a sense. It's boring.
I personally attribute it to my personal life being a little hectic the past 10-15 years and kind of spoiling my love for most things. Guess maybe thats called a midlife crisis. Not really a crisis imo. I just give a whole lot less fricks than I used to about most things.

Tennessee guys reported yesterday the demands were to play LT only and 4 mil(from 2 of their sites). I didnt believe the number but did the rest based on what happened here. Apparently that number might be closer than I thought.
My initial thought is LT or 4 mil to move over was the decision. Tennessee said no to both. Purely speculative.
I personally think the kid could help us but not at that price. Only positive of the price is he is almost guaranteed to be a 1 more year guy putting that $ back in play for 26 recruiting/retention efforts.

Is there such a thing still as “trouble with the NCAA”?
No. And it damn sure won't be over tampering. No one wants that door opened. Not one school in America worth a shite isn't guilty of it according to the letter of the rule. Agents are doing all the communicating so unless they plan to subpoena the agents(which they have no authority to do and never have) its moot. These days woth the streak they're on, sue them. They never win. Karma is indeed real. And we've about had enough of it for whatever O did to assemble the 19 team.

Im sure he is. Hes kind of invested heavily in LeBron.
And hes not entirely wrong about the shoe. They are a significant "status" symbol in the urban community. Haves and have nots. They are an essential to every "haves" wardrobe. Making what hes saying practically the truth. Kids now, for sure, aren't wearing Jordan's due to Jordan. They didnt witness him or the shoes rise to the status they've been at the past 30 years. Half of them have no idea who he is as a human or athlete. Just a shoe.
You could argue that there hasn't ever been a more significant shoe ever made. It's rise and early popularity had everything to do with Micheal Jordan the basketball player. As with everything, time changes perception and reality. The realities are, today, most Jordan wearers could care less about Jordan the basketball player and that without Jordan the basketball player, the Jordan shoe wouldnt exist or be the symbol they are today.
