Forrest Gump running away from diversity at the end has me rolling this morning. ?
Exactly what he looked like. Even the khakis and good posture, lol. Dude was not fricking around about getting out of there.
Never heard of it. My wedding had a money tree. Same concept, no dancing.
re: VIDEO: Central baseball coach suspended by LHSAA after stripping incident
Posted by lsufanva on 4/18/26 at 2:06 pm to BowDownToLSU
I get couth and his lack of it in that instance but that video shows a pretty underwhelming crime considering the punishment. Dude never even crossed the basepath and within 10 seconds was picking up his shirts and hat. Everyone involved in this situation overreacted. See far worse in little league, college and MLB, even church leagues. Since when did taking ones shirt off(what violence!) warrant a season suspension? Suspend the bat flippers, taunters and shite talkers(players and coaches) if you really want a clean game with a family atmosphere, as this suspension based on perception seems to suggest they want.

If you believe in time travel and aliens, you have no business being in congress. None. A pre-requisite of serving in congress has to be common sense.
Yet that same common sense you imply is a prerequisite will have your arse in church on Sunday praying to the heavens towards a mythical figure and his son, who those with "common sense", claim rose from the dead and saved us all from our sins. I believe common sense has jumped the shark.

It’s always boggled my mind that hip-hop is even considered music. It’s pure dog shite that requires no musical talent or ability. A freaking record player is not even a musical instrument.
Are you musically inclined? If so, you try it. Make a beat, write a song with an intricate rhyme scheme, and match its cadence with the beat. At the same time you need to entertain us, as in write something thoughtful or that will make us dance. If its so simple and not music then show us.
If not musically inclined, why do we care about an amatuers analysis of something they cant comprehend how to accomplish themselves?
Im a 90s east coast influenced fan of rap(though Outkast is my favorite) that doesn't really care for an overwhelming majority of rap today and admit there are some less than talented guys performing now. That said, the best of the guys in the circuit now, are extremely talented individuals. Not everyone's taste but not untalented. Same applies to every genre of music.

Wilder was a coddled China chinned fraud. None of those fights with Fury were surprising.
All may well be the truth but not a person alive who watched Wilder stretch Fury out that first fight had any indication that the man would rise like the Undertaker. 99% of the world wouldnt have risen. Certainly surprised everyone talking about it the week that followed.
Shea's hints say instate, '27, top priority, announcement soon. Would guess Miles, Whitley or Andling though Hudson has been the popular guess.
Had to be a 5 hour or more game with all the HBP and scoring
re: So, is it kinda true the SEC was cheating way more than anyone else pre NIL?
Posted by lsufanva on 4/9/26 at 7:18 am to lsupride87
While its likely true to an extent, history tells us the Big 10 powers have been doing their fair share of cheating over the years as well. Until Ryan Day, name an OSU coach that hasn't had recruiting violations. Tressell and company cheated, got caught, lied about and continued to cheat and lie about it. We all know Meyers way of doing things. Cooper, Hayes etc. Then we have Michigan who have a tidy little history of paying basketball players. Add USC, Oregon etc in now and its obvious they were all cheating.
All to say, its cyclical.

Im neither here nor there about it but without pitchers hitting we dont get moments like when Bartolo Colon took one yard. Moments like that are what baseball has always celebrated as unique to baseball.

To be fair, we had a potential 1st round qb leading us last year and it sort of felt the same way.

The "SEC Speed" narrative started in one night
Even that was piggybacked off Jimmy Johnson's and Bobby Bowden's Miami and FSU rosters. SEC just perfected the model by developing DL guys with it and stockpiling them.

What wasn’t fair? An Iowa fan asking this? Did you forget that Chris Webber was lured to campus by money from a big-time booster?
Much like the steroid era in baseball, if everyone is doing it, is it really unfair or is it just playing along? The UNLV teams the 2 years prior to the Fab 5 run was entirely bought and paid for. Likewise those Duke teams, UNC teams, Kansas teams etc. They all were playing on an even field as they were all cheating.
Black athletes, celebrities in general, would be taken more genuinely if everything in their lives wasnt propped up by a perceived slight or threat due to them being black. Its like they hand out cue cards to them all. You can't take anything they say seriously once they go down that road. They need to lose the crutch.
Majoratively, no is threatened by, trying to hold back or generally gives a damn about blacks being black these days unless youre in the hood or encounter a large group of them. Thats just logic based on statistics. Survival some would say. Deion Sanders and his average Colorodo team dont even register to most people until he starts talking nonsense. Seeking attention he cant garner on his merits as a coach or a program. Disingenuity defined.

That era of LSU CBs had so many names its easy to overlook some good ones. We had everything from superstars(Peterson, Mathieu), elite guys that were tops at the position their best years at LSU(White/Claiborne)to guys that were glue types that carved out solid NFL careers(Brooks/Flott). Then you have the S groups that came through and people lose track of names. Too many to get to. I, in fact, had completely forgotten about Greedy Williams until this thread. What an era. Thanks Les. Some of us still appreciate the job done.
Basketball has always been a cesspool. That sport literally sold its soul to the shoe companies decades ago. Long been the case that shoes decide where kids go to school. That same playbook is being used in football now. Apparel companies are 2nd only to TV in money spent on college sports.
Jaiden Bryant from SC. Hes shopping around so we are told.

First time I've heard having a Cabal of IHOP waitresses on sex speed dial behind your family's back...as a "vice".
Just the neighbors wife, a woman from work, randoms from any bar anywhere etc. Men have been cheating on their wives since they figured out they had a dick and it felt good to use it. Doesn't make it right but its not some unforgivable crime. Not even a comparison to the string of alcohol/pill related accidents hes had. Those are literal crimes. Substance abuse is his vice. The women dont even register on his list of vices and mistakes.
