Left my all clad saute pan unattended and I've got a burned on discoloration that won't come off with soap and water.

Any ideas on a cleaning product? TIA.

I've seen this product recommended on here before but I've never used it.

Bar keeper's friend is the best, if you can't find it I noticed they had it World Market the other day.

Thanks. I've heard of it but wasn't sure if it's good on this surface. Will get some tomorrow.

Any decent metal polish will work.

It was a stupid mistake.
I washed the pan and set in on the burner to evaporate the remaining water. I then got distracted by the dogs and forgot the pan was on the burner with nothing in it.
Five minutes later I rescued the pan but there was discoloration...no solid particles to scrape off because it was just water.

+10000 on Bar Keeper's friend.

Also...when mine have been really bad, I've put them in the oven and run the self-clean. You can't damage em. When the self-cleaning is done, all the caked on stuff is just ash. Viola.

Don't use a steel wool scouring pad though.. Use a light duty sponge.. You don't want to scratch the stainless finish..

You can also soak the pan overnight in water with a couple of tablets of Efferdent.. It'll start working on the scorch marks and be easier to clean with Barkeeper's Friend.. good luck.
