Bruce Fieldman called him one of the emerging stars in the spring, and in college football.

Said Frank Wilson had nothing but good things to say about him.

Spencer Ware is an ATHLETE. Caps intentional. The man can play, I've a feeling, any sport he wants to play, and play it very well. He has to practice of course, as does any athlete.

Can't wait to see him vs. Oregon in Jerry's Palace. Here's hoping he leaves nothing but plucked ducks everywhere he runs!

I think to be a special RB, maybe even Heisman candidate (note: I'm not saying he's a Heisman candidate), you have to have a special something. There's something about Ware, I've got a great feeling he's going to be a special back for LSU. Ridley was good, solid. But Ware is going to be a homerun hitter in football, book it.

Its definitely the WOW factor that will do it for him. He can lay his shoulder into the facemask of a defender and knock 'em on their back..and also shake someone out of their cleats.

The guy is amazing

Couldn't agree more. It's all in the attitude: when the Tiger baseball team returned to BR after the last out-of-town series, for a late Sunday night meeting, Spencer Ware, who had just finished spring football, was waiting for the team, so that he could meet with them in preparation for coming back to baseball, full time. That tells you a lot about the kid.

It's exciting to finally have someone like him. Although I suspect Ford will make a name for himself as well.

Ware for the offense, Freak/Mathieu for the defense. These all could be household names by the end of the year.

I really haven't been this excited about a running back since Toefield and before that Faulk & Collins.
