It's a good things they don't play the matches on paper. This one would be over before it even started.

I'll be at Medinah next year, not looking forward to it if the US can't do any better than Bo Van Pelt and Kevin Chappel. Of course I also thought we were in for a beatdown at Valhalla in 08, but that was the most fun tourney I've ever been to.

Good thing we have another year and a half before they play these matches.

I realize that our team will look drastically different by then.

I'm just reporting the current standings because they're funny

I wasn't being sarcastic when I said that. The standings are ridiculous right now. We really do need another year.

AMERICA!!!
That can't be right, can it? Bubba Watson, Phil, Kuchar, Stricker should all be higher than any of those guys.

ETA: Just looked it up and it appears you are right.

Yeah it should even out before the Ryder Cup.

Our top guys just haven't been performing in the majors

Remember this is over a 2 year period. Here is a rough estimate of what I see our next team looking like give or take a few guys:

Woods
Mickelson
Kuchar
Watson
D Johnson
Cink
Toms
Mahan
Watney
Furyk
Mark Wilson

...and some picks from this group:

Fowler
DLIII (yes he could pick himself if he's still playing well)
Van Pelt
Kim
Garrigus
Ryan Palmer
K. Bradley
W. Simpson

Van Pelt and Fowler will be in on points. Toms and Mark Wilson will not be on that team

toms is playing very well this year and has lots of experience and gets along with DLIII. unless his back prevents him from playing well next year, i see Toms being on the team for sure.

wilson in my opinion is one of the most underrated golfers we have over here.
