Did anybody else know about this contest yesterday for the 4th of July? The record there is only 13 hot dogs in one hour. Think you could do it? YouTube

Despite the fact I can cook my arse off, I really and truly do not eat much at all. At the age of 54, I wiegh as much as I did as a freshmen in HS. I'll take two doggies, add the appropriate fixings availible, and finish 1.5 of them.

My friend who can eat more than anyone I know could only eat 7 dogs and buns a couple years ago, he dunked them in sweet tea and everything. 13 is a lot for just a random person off the street

Yeah, I think he did 11 in 10 minutes during the contest.

No way I could do that. 11 in an hour would be no problem, but 10 minutes is nuts.

The contest at Frankie's was an hour. It turns out that once you get past 15 minutes or so, you've really done 80-90% of your damage. That's why all the Major League Eating contests are 8-12 minutes. Jay and one of the guys that puked both did about 7 in the first 10 minutes, but then Jay only ate 4 in the next 50 minutes to get to 11. But nobody else was close.

Carrollton Station in new orleans has had one for the past four years. Not sure what the winning number was this year but last year was twelve I think.

Yeah, he just told me it was an hour... I take back what I said about being about to do that. I know Jay can eat way more than me.
