Tiger District Shirt

Tiger District has this shirt on their website stating this logo was from '86. I don't remember it but if true my question is why in the hell did LSU ever drop this tiger head logo in favor of "Toonces"? Toonces logo seems so passive agressive compared to this pissed off don't F with me tiger. Needless to say I bought it and the Honey Badger shirt.
