Until we do something about the ticket monopolies going on and scalping becoming an occupation can’t see us hosting a World Cup again.

FIFA might end up making a fricking killing off this WC like they did in 1994 and that's all that matters to them. But hopefully not.

A friend of mine bought USA opener tickets at the eye watering price. I would have said frick that, but I was able to get flights and room at cheapest award points possible which brought my total cost for room/flight/ticket to something I could stomach.

We'll see if that price collapses and we're holding the bag.

From a not walking perspective, Africa will be a breeze. If you do a safari you might take 500 steps on those days
Day 8 of the blockade. Allegedly the big effects start hitting about the end of this week, beginning of next. I guess we'll see what happens between now and then.
Ceasefire continues per Trump.

Blockade also continues.

No bombs anytime soon.

Yup, they are a terrorist state doing what they've always done. Shouldn't be a surprise.
Seems like if you're going to have a deadline and the other side doesn't want to show up, the consequences of that decision need to happen when the clock runs out.
If non-proximity to a religious site was a prerequisite for activities in Israel, you wouldn't be able to do shite.

People don't want to believe this, but the Iraq and Iran situations have some pretty big differences.

Just so I'm clear ...

When they change their mind six times over the course of four hours, that's a lack of leadership.

When Trump does it, he's playing some sort of 18-dimensional chess.

Do I have that right?

While you were close to a good point, the difference is there is no debate that the executive authority lies with the President, whether he makes one decision one time or flip flops 50.

Right now, we have multiple people in the Iranian government purporting to hold the same level of authority.

I hope this doesn't turn into another WMD goose chase

Why would you worry about that? Iran has already admitted to the most serious accusations against it.
Took Rico's girl in Starship Troopers too.
This guy have an aneurysm halfway through this tweet? I feel like some words are missing in it.

That tends to happen. Wherever we get involved in the Middle East, we replace bad actors with even worse actors

Ya, this logic works with Iran

I'm guessing you think killing Bin Laden led to someone EVEN WORSE.

I would have laughed if you came back with an AI "hand bra" image that was oil doing the censoring instead of hands.

"WHAT RULE HAVE I BROKEN CHICKEN!?!"
Feels like a waste of time. They are a headless chicken right now just running around the yard. Iran can't agree to anything as it has no leadership.

Best to keep it blockaded until it finally falls over.
If they actually do that, no deal.
This is the correct move to continue the blockade.

Otherwise we'd be implicitly agreeing that Iran can control the strait.

Iran can't say it's open or closed.

I thought PBS shut down with no Federal Funding? Maybe just a skeleton crew operating till Dems get back in power

I read somewhere it's actually way better than that if you like small government.

The people who liked PBS stepped up contributions by quite a lot to keep it.
This was when the Governor, the Lt. Gov., and the AG of VA I believe all had a scandal at the same time so the standard of resigning disappeared overnight because....reasons.
