I wanted Mettenberger to get some snaps during the 4th quarter. We had the game won. Why risk our tops two with Auburn and Bama coming up.

yea guess you're right on that one, not like he would have had any valuable playing time
i guess good thing our schedule at the beginning of the year next year is nothing like this year's was

Good point--It would be great to get Mett some experience in an SEC road game, albeit the game was decided. I thought Miles & the staff squandered an opportunity. I also did not like to see so many first stringers in the game the last 3-5 minutes with a 31 point lead. Williford (I know, not usually a first string OG) pulled up a bit lame & it would have been silly to get someone hurt with that game under control.
