Does anyone remember the Big Mac promotions?

In the 70's they would give you a free Big Mac if the Tigers won by more than 21 points or something like that. I was at the 1977 LSU vs Rice game where we won 77-0 and remember thinking, I've got to find some extra ticket stubs. Ended up finding one of the old ticket stub containers they used from the South End zone and emptied out about 10,000 stubs on the ground and caused a small riot. Ate 3-4 Big Macs a day for a whole week and handed out another 1,000 at school. Good memory!

I think I saw you there. I just got one free Big Mac though. I wonder if they counted those toward the 99 billion.

When I was in school, Alfalfa Video would give free rentals with a basketball ticket stub if the team went over 100 points. I remember it well because I worked at one of those bitches and knew I would be called in if we hit 100. My movies were free anyway, so always wanted us to stop at 99.

I remember Clarence Caesar missed a 3 at the end of the game to keep us a 99 points for the basketball game. At 100, we got a free blockbuster rental with a ticket. Just missed it :(

There used to be a McDonalds sign in left center field at Alex box that would light up a few times per game. If that batter hit a HR then free big macs for the crowd. Cala and Grishman used to dish put the big macs

In the early 80's I ate so many Big Macs at LSU that I couldn't eat them for years after I graduated.

I was at that game. I was a junior and we came up with the idea of taking a slug of bourbon after each touchdown.

McDonalds use to give out free Fries if the KingFish won ( or maybe won by 3). My uncle once locked the keys in his car at a game, so 9 of us fit in a extened cab S-10 and stopped by McDonals to get out free fries, then headed to Livingston Parish
