These idiots don't know what their passing up.
You are being offered a spot in the best conference in the country. Either your in or your out!

It's pretty simple!

They aren't passing anything up. They are simply following the same steps that A&M did. And, following the steps that the SEC requires.

1. Grant authority to seek conference re-alignment.
2. Get out of the Big 12.
3. Then, and only then, will the SEC vote and accept them.

They haven't been offered. They aren't passing anything up.

Mizzou is the best available sure thing for the SEC. They might still be flirting with UNC to go for the Home Run.

UNC will pass and Mizzou will take that spot eventually. Hopefully soon

What I garnered from the Press Conference:

1. Leaving KC high and dry with the prospect of losing the Big 12 Conference Championship Game has been one of the major stumbling blocks to Mizzou going to the SEC.

2. The other major stumbling block was losing the annual rivalry game with Kansas.

3. BOC Directive gives KC two events to replace the one it would lose if Mizzou leaves Big 12.

4. I wonder who the "major regional football" opponent is? Hint Hint KU

5. Clearly insinuates that BOC and Deaton are looking at Conference realignment.

6. Expect No. 14 for the SEC soon.

Just my take on the Press Conf.

I think 4 is not an option right now. The word out of KU has been pretty much screw U Mizzou. Might be an Ark/Missouri KC game instead.

To me it sounds like Missouri is really not sold on the SEC and wants to get a Big 12 title game back in Arrowhead. If not, they will go to the SEC, but has to have some flexibility on playing conference games in KC.

They already play the KU football game in Kansas City every year. They wouldn't be planning another game there unless that was going to stop.

They already play in the Big 12 basketball tournament in KC every year. They wouldn't be planning an annual basketball tournament there unless they weren't going to play in the Big 12 tournament any more.

They are in major KC arse kissing mode. Adios, Bevo.

All this talk about keeping a foothold in KC means they are as good as gone from the Big 12.

If they want to schedule us there instead of in Columbia when they are the home team, that's fine.

But I seriously doubt Arkansas is going to agree to another annual neutral site game.

We're already faced with making a choice between the Aggie game in Arlington and LSU in Little Rock.

KC is closer to Fayetteville than Dallas, but Arkansas in general is much more geared to Dallas.

I've never even been to KC except to the airport, yet I go to Dallas several times per year.

I am sure it would be a home game for them that would be moved to KC.

Hypothetically, that's all well and good for the time being, but KU faced with the reality of losing their rivalry game will be singing a different tune. And that tune will not be the BEVO Butthurt that our friends at Texass are singing. Just my opinion.

Right. What else does KU have to get excited about in football?

I assume with all the Arkansas/Missouri game scheduling talk that you guys are going to be their permanent cross division opponents instead of A&M?

Everybody seems to assume that, as it would cut down Mizzou's overall travel by having us as an annual game.

It would also cut down on our travel by not sending us to Columbia-E every other year.
