Every expert I see has him winning player of the year. Do you think anyone can compete?

Not really. NBA lockout aside, I'm still surprised he returned to college.

Henson at UNC looked really good vs State. Harrison Barnes is a beast too.

If he developed an outside game like he was supposed to, no.

We'll see tonight.

Harrison Barnes may have something to say about this.

He looks like he was stroking the ball last game. Had atleast one 3 pointer

Looks like he lost about 25 lbs which will only help him. Not sure I like him facing the basket...he's much more effective with his back to the basket and playing down low IMO. Hopefully he's not trying to develop an outside game at OSU's expense. Granted, his stroke looks good but we need him banging inside.

All that aside, he's definitely a stud but it's too early to tell how he fares vs the rest.

I'm concerned he lost too much weight to still be as effective down low TBH.

not hands down. terrence jones, harrison barnes, anthony davis, thomas robinson, and im sure a few others are gonna be awesome. sullinger is definitely the leader of that group for now, though.

Be honest, you made this post so you could throw Thomas Robinson in there, didn't you?

Couldnt agree more.

But I also think that the thirty pounds is gonna definitely kill a lot of his down low abilities especially since he is not very tall. Luckily he is such a natural rebounder that it might not affect that

No question about it, Sullinger was much better than the other guys mentioned in this thread last year and don't see why this year would be any different. Without a really good PG out there nobody can impact the game like he can, he's the prototypical college big.

Anthony Davis, he's the only guy that I could see being better too.
