Why are SO many LSU fans all of a sudden concerned about being FAIR to OSU?

Why does it matter who they line up against LSU on the 9th? Do the players care? NO Do the coaches care? NO. Why are the fans different?

I'm sure the players and coaches DO care

We match up better against OSU and I feel we could just pound them to death with our rb's. Bama would be another dogfight right to the end.

It's not all of the sudden.
You chose to not notice it when it was mentioned a few weeks ago.

Flawed premise is flawed.

We want Nov 5 win to maintain its relevance.

I never realized the common LSU fan is such a sophisticated college football purist.

It's not really that sophisticated. If Alabama gets in, tell me the point of the game on Nov. 5th? The "game of the century!"

At that time it looked like the loser would have been eliminated from the race but every single other team blew their chance so now the loser of the game (BAMA) has a shot. Who would you think should play LSU if OU beat OSU, UCLA beat Oregon, and ND beat Stanford?

Everyone's thinking it, I'm just saying it.
But I want to play OSU so I can relax on Jan 9th, and watch another dominant second half en route to another 28+ point margin of victory.
And I'll sip my beer with my pinky slightly extended and a monocle over my right eye as I proclaim to my buddies, "I say that was a splendid victory, tis a pity we have to wait a full year till our next championship. Oh well, life goes on I suppose."

It is all a question of fairness. LSU has a great season and has defeated 8 top 20 teams including Bama at home. LSU's resume ia far stronger than Bama, why should Bama have the opportunity to win only one game and declare themselves NC while they could not even win their division? It is providing that opportunity to Bama that we are against. Why should LSU beat Bama twice to win the NC and Bama only once with weaker resume? If BCS is about crowing the best team then it is clear who is the best team. If body of work is the criteria not playing it off then there is no team that can come to LSU's body of work.

What if every other team went 6-6?. What if, what if. That would have been an extreme scenario that certainly warrants consideration of Bama. You should include Clemson beating VTech too, which they did. Boise State would come back into the picture in my mind for sure, but Bama would have a stronger case in that outlier scenario.
That, however, is not the scenario we are facing.
