Clearly you have never played the game seriously, this not a slam or flame but you would not ask that question if you had played and loved the game.

It's basically an open audition for him today. No QB would pass up a chance to compete for the starting position and huge $$$ to hold a clipboard his entire career.

If he plays well today, he goes from being a backup and making 400-500k to being a starter and making 4-5 million a year.

Someone is gonna pay him today not being looked at. He's one of the most sought after free agents in the league. Mike D said people were offering first round picks for him earlier this year

If the Colts don't get Andrew Luck watch for them to go after Flynn.
Aaron Rogers is also in his free agent year. I'm pretty sure the Packers will offer him a salary increase over the $461,000 he is making this season.
