We all know Saban is the reason

why Bama is in the BCSCG, the media is constantly kissin his arse. If it were another coach Bama would not be there and LSU probably plays Okie St.. With that said I hope LSU buries them in an avalanche of points!

Why? ESPN has had their head up Nick Sabans arse for years ! Do you really believe any other team that lost to the #1 ranked team in the BCS so late in the year would get a re-match in the title game? I think not....see Ohio State and Michigan.

Post them all you want, but in the end is still the same old tired crap that has been talked about over and over again. It's not going to affect me that much.
For what it's worth, LSU is a good team and is playing for the NC on the 9th. It's about time that some fans get off the bullcrap and start getting ready to cheer their team on. Saban is not the reason Bama is playing for the NC. The reason Bama is playing for a NC is because the teams that were ranked ahead of them lost and therefore that moved Bama into the #2 spot in the nation again (sort of like what happened witih LSU in 2007). Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

Or it could be that Lsu hasn't lost, and that all the teams ranked ahead of Bama after the loss on Nov. 5th lost and therefore moved Bama back to #2.

and i'm not talking trash, because i don't do that. i talk football and don't dwell on what can't be changed. i'm glad that bama is playing in the ncg, although i thought ok st. would jump us. i also would have been happy for us to play in any other bowl game and would have cheered for them to win.

Ok, I apologize for calling you a name because it is the proper thing to do, but don't sit there and type BS that y'all are there because of the system and rankings. You didn't win a conference title or anything, if you wanna tell yourself you are there because of the team go right on ahead.
People that aren't a rocket scientist as you suggested knows that Nick Saban is the reason why y'all are there, hell, I looked at the media yesterday in N'awlins and they where like rats around a doughnut when Lord Saban and Bama players stepped off the plane, you'd swear it was the other way around and y'all were the No. 1 team, ridiculous!

If Saban really does (?) have this hypnotic influence over the media, he'd be a fool not to use it to his school's advantage. I wouldn't fault him or Alabama for it. It's just another tool in the Bama toolbox.
HST, I thought a couple of very average LSU teams in the 90s got questionable tournament bids primarily for the TV draw of Shaq and a very entertaining coach, and not their play on the court.

well of course LSU got there because of Shaq, but the hold Saban has on the media shouldn't be questioned. It's so damn obvious it isn't funny, all the crap that the media is spewing now that others are posting on here is because of the Saban effect, that's what I call it! hell, why even play an BCSCG? they should just hand him the title for just showing up, it's that damn ridiculous!

Saban voting his team #2 didn't propell them to the number 2 spot. Pretty sure Gundy voted his team #2, where do they currently reside?
Face it people, Alabama IS #2. That is also where they will finish. Making threads like this is the reason why people think LSU is afraid of BAMA. Doesn't matter who we play, especially if the team we play is one we have already beaten. Simply go out and do it again, not big deal.

No one is afraid to a play game that is a must if you wanna be champs! And they will get it on come Monday, but this thread was started by me for the single purpose of sayin Saban has too much power with the arse jerks that is the media! I should have worded my original comment differently, but oh well, it is done now.

So you're saying your title would have a greater legacy if the rules were changed at the end of the season so #1 could play #3 and have an easier road to the NC?
I understand you're not wanting to play the same team twice (you have a valid argument that it's unfair), but I don't agree with your logic to get there.
