Will this be our first non-top ten recruiting class under Les?

Depends on who you look at.
Rvials 2008 class was not Top 10 either. Thats the class that just played for a championship.

How much of that class actually played for the championship though? Maybe the weakness of that class is why we had so many young players.

Not true in 05. We made a coaching change, that was a big reason the class is small. If you look at the dates committed les got a few good ones in that class, well minus rps off the field troubles. Also if you compare rivals, scout, espn the rankings are diff each year.
either way fsu has out recruited us since rivals did rankings in 02. But yeah its all about the rankings.

This class is ranked #7 by Scout......so this class will be top 10 as well. YOu shouldn't pay attention to rankings that don't include all the players coming in and Rivals at this point has us at #15, but they are not counting Hill in the class. A high profile RB makes a big difference. If LSU signs 1 or 2 more that they are targeting, then this class will most likely fall around #10 or higher on all recruiting sites.

LSU under CLM have finished top 10 on Scout since 2006; CLM 1st full season. This class should finish top 10 by the end to make it 7 straight top 10s.

The 2009 class, hands down best in Miles era played for the National Championship.
