Is Tim Duncan the GOAT? Sure he doesn't score like Jordan, but he plays way better defense and has shown longevity through his career. If Duncan can win another one with the way he has been playing this late in his career I think he is.

Let the flames begin.

Nah

Best PF though, but this is the case regardless if they win it all this year

Is Tim Duncan the GOAT?

he plays way better defense

Duncan = 8× All-Defensive First Team
Jordan = 9x All-Defensive First Team

has shown longevity through his career.

Duncan = 1,271 career games
Jordan = 1,251 career games

His career legacy shouldn't change if his team wins it all when he's 35 and playing 28 minutes/game.

I think so, that is if they win it all this year. Duncan will never get a serious look at GOAT, because hes not as flashy as the other guys. But look at his track record. shite look at who he has played with over the years and made much better. I would be saying the same thing about shaq if he had a more consistent and longer career like Duncan.

Serious question: if the Lakers win it all this year, is Kobe the GOAT?

Jordan was not playing at the end of his career like Duncan is right now. You have to admit that. Jordan sucked dick on the wizards.

what Jordan did with the Wizards should be irrelevant.

You would have a very compelling argument, the one knock would be he wasnt the best player on his first 3 title teams.

I was just pointing out that Duncan has been better longer than Jordan. Now Jordan had a higher high but a much lower low.

The only thing that will change is the dumb Kobe fans argument that think Kobe is better because 5>4.

Duncan could of retired 3 years ago and he would still be a top 5 player of all time

Jordan was 39, played 37 minutes a game, and averaged 20/6/4

Duncan is 35 and is averaging 15/9.

Last year at age 34, Duncan averaged 13/9

When Jordan was that age, he averaged 29/6/4/2
