I know The Avengers thread exists...

A buddy of mine told me it was flawless, and I responded I was hoping it wasn't overhyped. Saw it today in 3-D.

A) It isn't overhyped.

B) Worth the extra to see it in 3-D.

Walked out of the theater and told him he was right.

Best film I've seen in a long time.

Normally the Hype works against a film like this, in the end.

Not so with Avengers. The film confirms the hype.

A fun movie but far from perfect.

this

I actually wasn't one of those people who was seriously hyping the film up. I went on opening day expecting a fun action movie. what i got was exactly that.

I wouldn't even say it's a great movie. obviously i can't persuade anyone who has already seen it.

just my opinion. I'm glad people are really enjoying it though. just not my cup of tea i guess

There will never be a perfect film.

So this doesn't bother me.

I heard Loki wasn't a convincing or "good" bad guy... False

I heard you never really got the feeling that the heros were in any danger... False

As normal, Downey was funny as shite and had a bunch of awesome names he teased people with that were good references.

It was money.

It was a real Joss Whedon gem. Everyone plays the shite out of their role.

SFP doesn't like Captain America.

Or Hulk. Apparently a big Green Monster how came to be because of Gamma Radiation is just not believable in his world.

He gets his arse handed to him by everyone, even Captain America.

It's a top-notch superhero movie. Tons of fun and some good laughs. Don't be let down by the slow moments, which you may find here and there. The movie experience as a whole is well worth the price.

Don't expect to be moved a la Dark Knight. This is light popcorn fun.

I liked it but it's being way overhyped. It's a solid, fun film but not great by any means.

Fun action movie, but the plot and script are really lacking and over the top corny in most cases.

For what it is (a Comic Book movie) it performs well, but it doesn't ascend out of its genre like TDK.

Because he is allowing them to. . .except at the end.

Also, because Loki is shitty at confrontation.

which character?

Thor falling in the can?

Iron Man several times.

Cap several times.

Hulk. . .well, never.

He was the weakest one IMO. He's a very bland character

Hulk was only in danger of not joining the team or being able to control himself enough to help out.

Not all danger in movies needs to be life-threatening.

Maybe, but that isn't necessarily bad.

He was the weakest of a group of strong characters.

Hulk will never be in any real danger.

Just read Hulk, The End.
