Heading down there this weekend for a mini vacation and I know biloxi is known for their fine eateries . Where's a good place we can grab some grub for around $15 a plate? Any help is appreciated

A place kind of like sammy's or chimes. Burgers, poyboys, etc.

I like the burgers at Shaggy's down our way, I'd assume they're good on the Biloxi end. Here's the shared menu.

Come on Gaston! your better than that
I agree with damn near everything you put out there.... but man this place has gone to shite. Over priced preprepared crap and hot beer... I give it a try about once every 1-2mths just to see and because its close by, but i'm always disappointed. Went to Wolfe's instead the other day despite some somewhat negative reviews... Speaking of burgers have you tried that place on courthouse at the old high cotton location? think its called bob's burger factory or something...

That's why I get a burger. They've never been bad, unlike other things I've gotten. Seriously, next time you're drug there get a burger.

IDK WTF you're talking about. That Biloxi? I can count the number of times I've been to Biloxi on one hand, I know nothing of the area. Never been to Shaggy's down that way.

I had assumed the owners put new zeal into them since they closed their other endeavors. Honestly I can't tell you the last time I ate at the one in the Pass. But the burger was good I assure you. (Every time we take out of towners there they love the atmosphere. Just sayin'.)

I had an awesome steak at Wolfe's. He served me a filet Pittsburgh Blue. Pretty darn epic.

Nah, corner of courthouse rd and pass rd in gulfport. No biggie, just was down that way the other and saw it.
Guess i'll give the burger a swing next time. I met up with some friends from back home at the biloxi location of Shaggy's and had a good time. Much better than the pass location.
Yeh, my wolfe's experience was a good one. Got a few of the small plates and a few beers on a Sunday, sat outside and stared at Shaggy's
Pretty decent price as well.

We're addicted to Thai Lotus over that way, but my BIL told me that Ta Sushi is worth a shot.

Really? The food at Shaggy's is nothing to write home about, but I love the location. I've never been to the Biloxi location.

Did they close French Charlie's? I only ate there once, but thought it was solid addition for the Coast.

Yes. They still own the building, just rent it out to Wolfe's now. It was great as a tapas and wine bar, but I don't think people understood the concept. People complained openly about the size of the dishes. It's tapas, order a few of them... They had to make it more traditional, and it lost it's mojo.

I agree that the location of Shaggy's in the Pass is pretty nice for the area. Just that breezy air is nice for people coming to the coast, and being above the boats is good touch. Never even seen the Biloxi edition.

Half Shell Oyster House is good. There is a downtown Gulfport location and also in Biloxi by the Beau/Hard Rock.

Mug Shots is good bar food. Burgers are not cooked to order.
