Keeper League
The Trade: I give up Megatron + pick 3.05 for AJ Green and pick 1.09.

My Roster

QB- Roethlisberger
RB -Reggie Bush (or Fred Thomas)
WR - Megatron, V Jackson, Andre Johnson

The trade would have me getting the 1.05 and 1.09 picks that I could use on RBs, but the top 50 players or so are already on rosters.. The rookies will be on the draft board, plus I know Mark Ingram will be on the draft board...

Whatcha think? Megatron was untouchable, but draft picks are fun, so I'm rethinking..

haven't played this style before

so you give up mega for AJ

but you get the 59th pick for the 75th pick?

looking at current ADP and assuming you wanted to go for RB

~59th pick at RB we have Beanie wells and Shonn Greene (possibly Helu)

~75th pick we have Starks, D.Williams, D.brown,B.tate,Spiller

so would you go
mega and Starks
for
AJ and Wells or Greene?

I would not

Megatron is in the prime of his career and positioned to be the number 1 overall WR for at least the next 2-3 years outside of a catastrophic injury. Stafford is definitely only getting better and is also hitting his prime.

Green had a great rookie season and could...could become the next Fitzgerald as far as numbers go however he has only done it 1 year and his QB is Andy Dalton.

I just can't see trading the best overall WR who should go in the 1st round of every draft for a guy who may become the guy you are getting rid of. In my opinion you should stay put and enjoy having C. Johnson, if you want to trade him I would ask a lot more. If you really want a RB then try to work a deal out for a RB. RB's go fast but starting WR's tend to last longer on the draft board.

It appears that your strategy has been to concentrate on WRs and hope to get lucky on the other positions. If that is your strategy, why would you ditch the No. 1 WR in the league now? He is the best player on your team. The 5th RB available in a draft where the fifty best players are not on the board is not likely to be the best player on your team.

I would not do this.

No. For the #1 overall WR you need much more than Green (probably a 4-6 rd pick) and (pick 1.09) which with the top 50 gone, is more like a 4 rd pick.

I say yes if its a PPR league but I don't know what you're scoring is like. I play dynasty PPR and that would be a decent trade for us because of Green's youth and skill along with a 1st round. Not crazy about it being the 9th pick but you have the 5th too. And you could use an upgrade at RB

Trade anyone but Megatron. Jackson is in Tampa now, so who knows how his production will be with them and Johnson keeps having nagging injuries. Although AJ is a rising talent, Megatron is your Mr.Reliable and consistent.
