So I am almost done with Wizard and Glass, great book, but had a question. Should I read them in order of their publication or is it best to read Wind Through the Keyhole chronologically? Any help and no spoilers would be great. Thanks.

I haven't yet read wind through the keyhole, but if it is set chronologically between W&G and Wolves of the Calla, I'd read it there

Cool, thanks for the advice. Was Wolves of the Calla and Song of Susannah just not as good as the other ones?

Wolves of the Calla was solid outside of one characters viewpoint that King used to put his own troubles with alcohol addiction into the story, which was completely pointless and takes you out of the story, but other than that it's a good book, if not as good as any of the other 4 books before it.

The last two books were just plain bad. He rushed those last three books after his brush with death and dropped the ball terribly (I've not read the most recent, so just including the original 7 here).

See, I felt that way about song of Susannah, but not The Dark Tower. I felt it had to end the way it ended. It is all a circle. We are all on the wheel

I don't know if it was rushed as much as just really bad ideas that should never been included. The weapon of choice that the chicks used was terribly lame. And he did something with the plot that was incredibly narcissistic and which pretty much made suspension of disbelief impossible. Still, the very ending of the series was perfect, though there was a lot of crap leading up to it.

I didn't have huge issues with the actual final ending of the book (though I still find it a bit of a cop out), it was most of the rest of the last book that was complete garbage.

Yeah, this was unforgivable and plain silly.

I liked wolves.

Song was bad. By far the worst
