Stewart Mandel ?@slmandel Some serious 11th-hour maneuvering going on w/ SEC bowl lineup. Sounds like A&M slipped from expected Cap One to Chick-fil-A overnight.

@Mark_Schlabach: Now I'm hearing #UGA to Cap One vs #Nebraska; #LSU to Cotton; SC to Outback and A&M to Chick-fil-A & Miss St to Gator
UGA to Cap1 vs Nebraska
LSU to cotton vs Texas/OU (OU if no.Illinois makes top16)
USC to outback vs Michigan
A&m to CFA vs Clemson
Miss st to Gator vs Northwestern

So what happened?
Did Slive get the Cap One to take UGA in deference to Cotton wanting LSU?
Seems to be the Cap One has more to lose pissing off the SEC than the Cotton.

If that is the case, then Georgia to Cap1 and LSU to Cotton

A&M vs Clemson, and LSU in the Capital One???
Posted on 12/2/12 at 12:34 pm to JPLSU1981
So LSU to cotton, UGA to cap one, A&M to CFA?

If A&M is going to the CFA Bowl, that means that UGA got the Cap One and we're going to the Cotton Bowl....I hope.

Definitely what it sounds like.

If true, that's where aTm belongs and puts everything back in order.

Just tell me when something official pops up. Rumors always set people up for disappointment.

Agreed

Cool with me. Frankly the CapOne is the least inviting venue due to the shitty opponent and noon kickoff.

Most likely we are looking at LSU - Oklahoma in Cotton Bowl

Just another case of Alleva not standing up for LSU!!!
Oh....wait....yeah, never mind.
Some of you would have done well hunting those pesky witches a few years back.

I feel like this makes a lot more sense for the SEC to push anyway.
The Capital One Bowl is supposed to be the SEC runner up vs. a good big 10 team, if we're going by bowl hierarchy..makes more sense to me to actually do that for georgia, and let the Cotton Bowl pick between the remaining 2 best SEC West teams like they always do.
It's shitty for A&M or LSU, whichever slips to the Chick-fil-A bowl, but it's better to me than shoehorning Georgia into a game that wants another team.
