In the series win over Miss St, LSU batted .262 (28 for 107), and scored 15 runs in 3 games.
Katz had a great weekend and posted an OPS of 1.833, with 3 dingers and 5 rbi. Bregman and Jones each had 3 RBI, and Ibarra batted .364 (4 for 11).
Laird had an 8 game hitting streak snapped in his first weekend against SEC pitching. He struggled and went 1 for 11, but did walk 3 times.
It'll be interesting to see what Mainieri does with the lineup against Auburn next weekend. Jones went 4 for 9 from the leadoff spot on Sat/Sun. Sciambra got on base 4 times in 10 plate appearances.
Auburn got swept at home by Vandy, and now gets to travel to the Box where LSU will look to bounce back in SEC play.
LSU was 6th in the SEC in batting avg over the weekend, and 7th in runs scored.
LSU's ERA was 5.67 in the three games against Miss St, who led the league in batting coming into the weekend.
Any progress updates on McCune?

I predict we'll either sweep Auburn or lose 2/3 to them. It's the only outcomes we've ever had against them under Mainieri. We're 10-8 in that time frame, but lost 4 of the six series.

Interesting, I'm leaning towards us getting 3 from them then. Hell nothing would really surprise me but it just seems unlikely that they get 2 of 3 from us at home

We have been terrible against auburn the last few years.
