Theme music for TV Shows

Does the music in a TV show ruin the song for you?
I hate to say the word "ruin" but I found it odd to be listening to RJD2's song "A Beautiful Mine" and not associate it with "Mad Men."
I just can't take the song seriously anymore.

As much as I love Justified, I hate that godawful hillbilly, rap, theme song... Still love the show though...

Every time I hear Joe Cocker's version of with a little help from my friends I think of wonder years. But I wouldn't say it is ruined.

Deadliest Catch actually makes me like "Wanted:Dead or Alive" more than I ever did before.
