I dont know about you, but I think this movie should have gotten several awards.

Great music. Great directing. Great DOP. Great acting.

And its hard to make a race driven movie these days that doesnt piss everyone off.

QT is one of the greatest Directors of all time and deserves more love from the award givers.

Great movie. The only problem with it is that it went on for 15-20 minutes too long.

Absolutely...I was hooked from the opening theme.

Great directing.
Would the baghead scene be filed under directing? It was genius.

Great acting.
Waltz, DiCaprio and Johnson were awesome. Some of the peripheral characters were awesome, too, like the scene where Django and Shultz meet Big Daddy. The black slave girl who is supposed to take Django around is awesome. "You mean treat him like a white man?"

ETA: Samuel L. Jackson's role wasn't a stretch for him, but he was still really good. Even Candie's sister was great, even if she came across as creepy. Which I guess was intentional.

And like Head Change said a few days ago, the whole "dentist vs. Candie" thing is something I never even connected.

yeah, movie was great. I would put it slightly below "Inglorious Basterds" right now. However, I might change my mind on that after I watch it again. Only seen it once, it might grow on me more after watching it again.

Good movie, but overrated IMO.

Inglorious Basterds was much better.

Seems like every week there is a new Django thread.

And the movie came out 6 months ago...

Didn't it just come out on bluray? That's how I saw it, just last weekend.

Wow, I never thought of this either, wow.

The baghead scene would have to be credited to the writers partly. But its the directors job to bring out the reality of it happening. It brought some real truth to how KKK members look when carrying on like retards. I laughed so hard during this scene that I had a hard time keeping up with the next few scenes in the movie.

Watched in theaters.

But will buy the dvd today.

I gave it some thought, and I guess the reason it didn't get more awards was because it only really hit home for the south. Everyone else just sucks, that's all it is.

I love the way he would exaggerate the shite out of gun shooting scenes. Like when he blew that white lady out of the doorway. "Yall say bye to Miss whatever her name is"
