Right now, the paint in clogged. There are at least 5 defenders feet in the paint and it is making Lebron pass from a passive triple threat position. The basis of their offense is to pass from dribble/drive penetration, and to suck the d in to get open 3.

With the paint clogged, and Lebron not driving, the close outs on 3 pernt shooters is easier and defenders don't hav to cover as much ground. A hobbled wade doesn't help at all, because it takes the one other perimeter guy they have that can drive and dish or cut to the basket.

So right now teams can dare the heat to shoot long 2s and contested 3s. Bron has too much time to think and it's effecting his now potent mid range game. He's not even aggressively shooting his jumpers. He's not catching and shooting.

To get him going, the heat must get him/wade on the move. The best way to beat a defense liek the Spurs is to get them offset and get its parts moving. when they can ball watch, and key in on defenders, they are hard to stop.

Wade/Bron need to initiate the offense and either one has to have actions run for them. Bron should work the baseline and post up off pin downs. This automatically puts the defense in a doubling situation is he secures great position. He can now facilitate from the post, which will give his shooters better shots, off the helpers double, or the helpers helper double. This will get the ball moving from one side of the court to the next, and hopefully the d will crack, and offer them 3 pernt opportunities or drives to the basketball.

Wade cutting during brons posts should open up the 3 point shots as well as the d will have to honor a cutting wade. This also gives them points in the paint opportunities and opportunities to get to the line.

I also think that they should run baseline double screens for bron to have him catching the ball in an active triple threat position, where he doesn't have to think. He can just react off the act (drive, shoot, pass, post). This will draw Duncan away from the basket if you involve one of the Miami bigs, and open weak side cut/slash opportunities as well as weak side corner threes.

The heat have to get the ball moving and get active and put bron in situations where he can react in an active and aggressive triple threat.

They won't win with him holding the ball at 18 feet

The shooters also have to move as well, as this action is goin on so the secondary spurs defenders don't have a clue of where they will be taking their shots. Players may have to give up sweet spots but it will get a set defense scrambling, and that should help them get easy buckets off the 3rd/4th rotation or option. The defense has to break after 4 swings, especially in a help the helper type of d

Also, they can't play Haslem, and 1 of the PGs.

Haslem offers nothing in this series if they don't move the ball. He scores off dribble drive kicks. F they can't drive, he doesn't get his looks from the 15 ft baseline.

To get wade and bron initiating the offense, one of the PGs has to stop playing. They just don't offer much on the road/this series. I'd rather have battier/miller/ray out there as my other wing guys to drive and dish to.

im a lebron fan.. he played like crap last nite and 2 role players for the spurs played the game of their lives.

with that said, lebron MUST play better game 4. Those 2 players will never have that kind of game again in their life, game 4 will revolve more around how healthy parker is and if lebron shows up

This. Lebron played like crap but those role players for the Spurs will never play like that again. I don't think the Spurs will have a shooting performance like that again in this series. The Big 3 need to step up and start playing like they did in last years finals.

However if these role players for the Spurs play anywhere close to what they did last night for the rest of the finals, this series will be over sooner rather than later.

Man Lebron has won 4 MVPs. He knows how to play basketball. You don't need a game plan to get him involved. He needs to show up and play aggressive from the jump. That's it.

i once saw an article that 112% of the Heat's offensive sets run through chris bosh. Bosh is the leader of this team.

They need to put the ball in his hands and put wades gimp arse on the bench.

Then tell Bosh to keep his long arse in the post and crash the boards they don't need him out there jacking up threes.

They just need to pick and roll with a 3 point shooter more often. A couple times I saw miller get a screen from Lebron and then Lebron would be wide open because SA had to make sure miller wasn't open. But Miller isn't as good at seeing the floor as he is shooting so he missed him.

Essentially.

There are tactical ways to do that as well. I don't see why they don't use him move as a roller than a fader on their screen/roll action. If be rolls and kicks they'll get option shots. Let him facilitate from the elbow/ft line/paint.
