Guy in my league has offered to trade Doug Martin for one of my WRs. He needs WRs bad and I could really use RB depth.

This seem like a fair trade? I could also offer:

Sammy Watkins
or
Cordarrelle Patterson

I also have Michael Crabtree and Brandin Cooks but don't think that Doug Martin is worth what they are.

Thoughts? I always get trade raped so I would rather avoid that this time.

I'm confused...you think he is worth Patterson but not Crab or Cooks?

Patterson is the best player in your entire post.

If he would take Watkins, definitely.

Try Watkins for Martin. Doubt he'll take that.

If you can pull off Sammy Watkins for Doug Martin do it now!

Not for Wallace IMO

How bad do you want Doug? I know he was probably a high draft pick, but besides 2 outlier games in 2012, he hasn't done much.

Patterson, Wallace, Crabtree - if healthy - and maybe Cooks could possibly get you a better/safer RB.

I'm really high on Wallace this year even though I've offered him up for trade in one league.

Yeah I was really iffy on Patterson, but I do think that he is going to be very inconsistent this year. Still starting him though, so I guess I just needed a reality check on including him there.

I'm not particularly high on Martin, but my RB2 right now is Toby Gerhart or Zac Stacy so I definitely could use him at RB. Now seems like a good time to buy low as well. I guess I will try Watkins.

Main thought is wondering if Wallace is the real deal this year, or if he's going to struggle. Just thinking that it would be a good time to guy Martin low and sell Wallace high. But everyone here seems high on Wallace, so...maybe not.

I just offered Wallace to pick up Martin. That said, I was heavy on WR so Wallace wan't even starting for me.

The guy accepted the trade.

I think Wallace is going to be top 20 this year minimum (health depending). The only reason I was looking to trade him in the league I mentioned is because I have Mega, Antonio and Jordy.

I am starting Wallace as WR2 in another league.

I like Mike Wallace this season, too. The Dolphins short and medium passing looked sharp this past weekend.

Assuming it's not a keeper league, I'd definitely try to give him Watkins.

If it is a keeper league, I might try to give him Crabtree, but probably still Watkins.

In no scenario would I give him Patterson or Cooks for Martin.

Agree. And if Tannehill could throw an accurate deep pass every once in a while, Wallace could explode.

The new offense this year is the difference.

He threw one the entire game, and backup TE dropped it.

Dolphins looked strong.

Ok, that's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't see the Miami game this weekend and wasn't really sure how to value Wallace. Seems like everyone here is pretty high on him, so that is good to know.

I've never really been a Wallace guy, but the Dolphins offense looked sharp. Obviously, it's just one game, but I like what I saw.

And just so it's perfectly clear, Doug Martin has played in 23 career NFL games.

He has 13 touchdowns and 2464 total yards. Very nice.

46% of those touchdowns (6 of 13) and almost 20% of his total yards (486 of 2464) came during a 2 game stretch 2 years ago. Those were his 7th and 8th games of his career.

So in the other 21 games, he averaged 94 yards per game. Yup that's awful!

I never said he was awful. I said besides 2 outlier games (which made you somehow laugh even though it's the truth) he's hasn't done much - easily meaning to warrant his draft position and status.

Yes, 94 yards a game is nothing to scoff at, except he's gotten worse since 2012. He's thrown up clunkers in at least 6 of his last 10 games - more depending on how you rate clunkers.
