Had Jennings started that game, the outcome is probably exactly the same and you're probably seeing Harris out there now instead.
That said, I've pretty much died down on rooting for Harris to get in, because frankly, it just doesn't matter this year. Either QB is going to hand it off 50-60 times a game and just hopefully complete about 10 passes.
I still think Harris is the future but I think the positive is that LSU has finally seemed to get their identity back.

I may complain but I should probably stop. Like everyone else I need to accept that we will not see Harris again in significant playing time until after AJ graduates.

We'll see Harris again, just not much this year. And we shouldn't...Jennings isn't a world-beater, but it's clear to everyone he's further along at this point than Harris.

Harris will get his opportunity in time, and may even be the starter in 2015, but he just needs some more time, film study, practice, and watch-and-learn time.

The gameplan for auburn was horrific. Miles never gave harris an opportunity to succeed in that game running it all but three times in the first twenty somewhat plays. Tgen when he did throw the ball they never gave him an opportunity to get into a good rhythm. Harris is the future its not Jennings. And hopefully this summer and spring Harris will learn the play book and take over.

You would've trotted a Freshman out for the first start of his career, on the road against a top 5 team, and aired it out?

The gameplan was no different than it is every game. Every game for the last 9 years. Penalties, mistakes, and the defense giving up a score on every possession is what killed that game.

Oh, and Auburn being the better team.

Face it, we are riding AJ all the way for the next 2 1/2 years. BH will not see meaningful PT until his senior year if he is foolish enough to stay and be coached by Les. That said, it probably doesn't matter who plays at QB next week. Les's offensive philosophy will guarantee a loss regardless.

No. Im not saying air it out. But give him good conconfodent building throws like screens, curls, and slants so he can build that rhythm to succeed. Because when we did decide to throw it we were down big and the pressure was greater.

There are a lot of 'intangibles' that occur in football games, that really affects the mood of it. Auburn played probably the best game they will play all year when they played LSU. Why?

Freshman QB mystique. Defense pinned ears back and believed in that notion that a fresh QB would shake to his core in Jordan Hare. They were right. But here is the bigger intangible:

When you flash across the screen the upset of score of Ole Miss over Bama, it is the biggest shot in the arm of adrenaline that their bitter rival, Auburn, could ever hope to receive. It gave them a mental, emotional high that they rode the entire game, and was next to impossible for LSU to overcome.

Ever think that maybe we had some passes called in that have that he couldn't execute? Stats say run, just because the pass didn't get off.

I am just speculating, I never rewatched the game.

agree.... but I have always thought that it was stupid to not put him (or our 2nd QB) in when the game is not in doubt.

QBs are not developed in the classroom, or practice..the game is at a different speed.

Yep. I am okay with it too as long as Harris gets some playing time.

I see no gameplan that would've made Harris succeed against Au. Auburn was obviously the better team, Harris was very obviously rattled and not ready for that type of atmosphere, and our defense played the absolute worst game possible. Blaming Miles for running the ball is petty IMO.

JJ Jr next 2 1/2 yrs and run up middle against 9 in box until Miles leaves.
Was in car listening. LSU game play caller was like a broken recorder.

"LSU offense up to the line, two tight ends, power I, 9 men in the box. Kentucky expecting a run."

It will be the same next week, next year, until Miles retires or goes to Michigan.
