Really good show. I wonder how Amazon and Netflix make their money back on the shows. I guess people subscribe just for this?

Good show. I kept wondering where I recognized Harry's partner from. It dawned on me that it was Marlo right before I checked this thread.

I just googled and realized this is Harry Bosch from those Michael Connelly books. I love those books. I will definitely start watching this.

Yeah I read pretty much the entirety of Connelly's books back in college and my early 20s. Loved them. Watched Ep 1 the other night and it looks like this series has a lot of promise.

Yessss!!! I'm glad this made it.

Also if you're into Connelly check out Robert Crais. He has a series that is pretty good. Also set in LA like Bosch but the guy is a private detective. Elvis Cole and Joe Pike series.

I love the Crais books. He had a one off about a cop and war dog both suffering PTSD. Very good book. His next book will include Elvis and Pike crossing with the dog and cop.

Also Elvis is from Baton Rouge and the author is from Louisiana so there is some local flavor.

Yeah, Suspect. I read that one too. I also read Demolition Angel and she ended up in a Cole book as well.

It's pretty good so far. Marlo as a cop and Daniels as.. a cop. Just watched another pilot, Hand of God, which was stellar. It's been greenlit, too.

Robert Crais is excellent. I love Elvis Cole and Joe Pike......but Suspect was my favorite book he has written. You have to love a dog like Maggie.

So they switched Bosch to a Gulf War vet? I'm warching the pilot. He was a tunnel rat in 'Nam in the books.

Wow. Pretty good right out of the gate. I kept seeing people show up from other shows. Herschel from walking dead. Reddick from Fringe. This will be very good.

I noticed that. I think you kind of have to modify Bosch's backstory. He was a tunnel rat in Vietnam in the books. If they stuck to that he would be 65-70 if the show is set in the present. They did the same thing to Stephen Hunter's character Bob Lee Swagger in the movie Shooter. Anyway I just finished episode four and this show is awesome

And maybe I'm getting books mixed up but I thought Edgar was older in the books as well. Could have been from a later book.

I just thought it was funny because I started reading them chronological about 3 years ago and I kept laughing at early 90s LA in the books. The whole book where he gets his first cell phone. But I'm glad they set it modern day.
