The Eagles weren't the first to record the song "Seven Bridges Road," but their harmony made it famous. The song was written and recorded by Steve Young, who was living in Montgomery in 1969 when he was inspired by a real road that crossed -- you guessed it -- seven bridges.

A good drinking song , Hank,Jr

The real "Seven Bridges Road" made famous by the Eagles and written by Steve Young is Woodley Road (County Road 39) in rural south Montgomery Counrty Alabama

Had a visit from the internet manager who refused to take no. I complimented his strong type a approach and said he was wasting that on me. I told him he needed to consider a job in sales. where he would be sure to shine: banking, insurance , cars.

Endured some really down years but did not miss a game. NIL had made me realize what a mess college sports has become.
HBO max is clever: Box appears with 1 of 3 ads count down and after the 1 or 2 ads play an ad for another HBO show without count followed by ad with count clock ticking.

Jack Elam described the arc of his acting career: It goes like this, the director says “Who’s Jack Elam? Then it's "Get me Jack Elam." Then, "Get me a Jack Elam type". Then, "Get me a young Jack Elam". Finally, "Who’s Jack Elam?"

Hotrod, which of those is your son?
It seems like this happens earlier and earlier each year. July 31 deadline.

Another year like this past season may give me pause to think.
Wonder if Spirit will do this? LINK to short news item

A guy I worked with and his wife flew to the Bahamas on Eastern Airlines and the next day Eastern went out of business. He said it took him 3 days to get a return flight on another carrier.

Eastern Airlines closed so suddenly in 1991 that thousands of passengers and crew were left stranded across the country as their connecting flights, or return flights, were suddenly cancelled.

Excellent miniseries. Friend who attended South Alabama told me he and a group of his fellow students appeared in scenes filmed on the USS Alabama and he got to be an officer. I asked him if he called Mitchum Bob but he said he only saw him from a distance.

I called him "hollywood" after that.
