Do you still feel Monday Night Football is must see TV?

I remember how excited I used to get for MNF.
There was one matchup - Pats and Saints about 6 years ago - where I could not stand the anticipation.
I saw the promo for the game on ESPN the week before. "Pats and Saints, Brawlin in Nawlins". The way Jaworksi said that, made me even more excited for the game. It was the longest week ever. I remember that Monday, I was still a college student. Longest Monday ever. I could not wait for the game. I could not wait for the brawl in New Orleans. And the thing is, I am not even a Pats or Saints fan. But the matchup, the anticipation, the hype of the game overloaded me.
I no longer feel this way about MNF. I no longer get excited for it, or view it as must see TV. Some Mondays I don't even turn the channel to ESPN, even for background noise while I do other things.
I think one way to bring it back is to bring back Ron Jaworski. He had a way of hyping these games as much anticipated, must see games. "Pats and Saints, Brawlin in Nawlins". Just that simple line was enough to stir me up to anticipate this game like no other, despite not being a fan of either team.

There are a bunch of football games on pretty much every night of the week, MNF just isn't as special anymore.
Proliferation is a sumbitch.

No. Sunday Night Football is much better. The ability to flex games to Sunday night is a big difference. MNF games usually suck.

It was so much better on ABC. ESPN has watered down MNF.

Not anymore. Too much out there. When football (either pro or college) runs from Thursday - Monday you have to pick your spots. Tonight wife and I are going to watch stuff from HBOGO.

Only if the Saints are playing.
Although, to be fair, I only consider the NFL to be must-see TV if the Saints are playing. Any other teams, I only bother if nothing else is going on.

Depends on the match-up. I'll watch tonight because im interested in the Panthers. But for the most part it's background noise at my place.

yeah, I liked Jaworski actually.
the PTI guy on Monday Night Football was a horrible idea.
that is about the time I started to not like it as much.
when I was a kid, they use to have it on ABC with Al Michaels, Frank Gifford, and Dan Dierdorf. I think the game would start at 8pm and they usually had good matchups.
now Sundays get the better draw most of the time.
also having Thursday night football makes you sort of burned out by the time Monday rolls around.
unless it is your team playing in the game.
