I don't think that'll be a problem then. because there's so many different ways they could go.

they added a lot to defense last year, so maybe this year it'll be more for the offense?

I really like Kaden Wetjen out of Iowa.

you could kind of use him as a gadget piece on offense. and then he's a really good punt. returner. you could also put him back there with ty Chandler to do kickoff returns. I don't know? basically a player that you can get on day two?
so you either double dip it receiver or take a receiver and then a TE?

One question about that chart though I know that Shaheed had the long touchdown catch against the Giants but Olave also caught a fairly long pass for a touchdown that I thought was over 32 yd. I don't know. I guess I'm just not remembering right.

the Saints have a good amount of picks. I'm not really sure if they trade down and try to acquire more if anything from their history they're going to move up at some point but I would rather them do that on day two or day three obviously. I mean unless they move up in the top 10 for someone that they really like. hopefully they won't pay a premium for it.
the slot is where teams were going after the Saints the most last season

not interested in a player who has hamstring issues. Broken bones are one thing.

I've seen clips of Bain basically just knocking down lineman's hands and arms before they could get on him.

Bain does have very strong hands. I mean I know that that's not going to win him every battle in the pros obviously but what I see is a guy who's a pain in the arse to block.

I think if he got deployed in a certain way in a pro defense he could do some damage.

but I get why a lot of people don't want him. a lot of people are big believer in arm length.
the coaches have been precise in free agency trying to clean up the kicking game. I think whether by pick or FA they'll find that guy. Pettis ain't that dude.
I wouldn't mind one within the first 2 rounds.

then take a Kaden Wetjen type in like the 4th or 5th. Because he'll help on special with the return game also.
okay so that's right. they moved up one whole spot to get him at number nine

we put them in prime position to do so with that trade The year before.

The last time that the Saints did that in the first round they moved up to get Olave. I don't remember how many spots they moved up but just that the eagles certainly got the way better end of the deal than the Saints did

and of course the very next year they picked in our spot and took Jalen Carter
pretty sure that rodman would find a way to irritate him just like he did to several other players while he played
i pulled this off pro football reference advanced stats

this is his reception numbers, yardage, yards after catch and even put in the amount of drops he's had.

I don't know how this stacks up with other WR's but don't feel like taking the time to compare.

72rec 1,042 yards 210 YAC 7 drops
87rec 1,123 yards 347 YAC 6 drops
32rec 400 yards 121 YAC 2 drops
100rec 1,163 yards 289 YAC 5 drops

I know the Saints have signed Ty Chandler and he can be a good kickoff return man but the Saints will need to get a new punt returner.

Dante Pettis took over for Shaheed after he was traded and averaged just 6.7 yards per return

Shaheed was nearly at 13 with 12.9 yards per return

a late round or even a possible rookie undrafted free agent name to remember Kaden Wetjen. Not a whole lot of production as a WR but Iowa is hardly a school known for offensive prowess.

On 36 offensive touches in 2025, he forced 15 missed tackles. He also contributed in the run game with 14 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns on jet sweeps and end-arounds.

special teams is where he could have an instant impact. He owns a career kick return average of 27.5 yards with two touchdowns, and a punt return average of 17.5 yards with four scores.

At the combine, Wetjen ran a 4.47-second 40-yard dash with a 1.58-second 10-yard split and posted an elite 6.95-second three-cone.

I remember Shaheed was an undrafted free agent, but he was also out of Weber state. Wetjen is out of Iowa so most likely way more on the radar.
I'm thinking like nine wins.

that might be enough to win the division

I mean until proven otherwise. think about it. how many years in a row has the NFC South not been decided until week 18? they're just never really seems to be much separation
I lose their signal more than I'd like.

probably just going to end up cancelling it.

it's annoying.
the Saints were such a bad first quarter team. For sure there will be an emphasis to start faster. They have made additions already that will help out there.

what Shough has done and what he will do aren't the same.

I mean you think Moore is saying, hey, let's just go do what we did at the end of last year winning the last 4out of 5. Everything we did last year will work out perfectly in the same way in a different season?

No.

Yeah, I like Lemon more than Tate.

I'd be cool with picking a WR to help out Shough but that usually isn't the Saints style.

gives opinions on some of the younger players who are looking to keep developing. He thinks they hit on a number of picks.

the draft simulation I did had the Rams taking Lemon.

frick the fricking Falcons god they are so stupid.

They have armed one of the best teams in the league with the chance to get to the top for what?

A fricking dumb arse woman beater?
