Delacroix or Chalmette

Did anyone go to Delacroix or Chalmette today and do any damage? I am taking my 9 year old out in the morning and debating between Delacroix or my usual spots in Chalmette. I know I can catch fish in Chalmette but if limits are being caught again in Delacroix that may be my choice.

If you know you can catch in chalmette why would you chance it with a place you're not confident on?

I can catch in Chalmette but sometimes it takes a lot of running around. If it's back on in Delacroix you just have to hit Oak River, Skippy Lake and another community hole. Much easier for the little one.

My wife and I have done well for the last couple weeks in Delacroix. If you know some spots, I'd go there.

Fished Chalmette yesterday. Took my son and his bud and we did absolute shite. And I know how and where to fish every spot out there.
Nothing on artificial or live.
Caught one trout one under size flounder and 3 very small marsh bass.
2 weeks ago it was 3 man limit and left em biting.
Hit the wall, Michoud slip, marshes around the wall, shell pad by the wall, rocks, Bienvenue locks and the marshes off the intracoastal 1 mile east of the Chef pass.
Bad day of fishing.

Managed 12 pretty trout in Chalmette yesterday - most came on sliding corks by Boh Bros. That bite shut down and we bounced around picking a fish or two here and there and that's it.

Ended up going to Chalmette. Fished the Wall and the Lock. We were the first ones at the wall and was catching keeper trout on Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad until other boats started showing up. Had to switch to live shrimp after that. Bait had to be on the bottom to get bit. I would guess we caught 40+ with a lot of throwbacks. We did keep 14 of the bigger ones. Back at the Marina for 1:30.
