If there is one college that needs to close in Louisiana, it's BRCC

I honestly wonder how many people actually finish there. Seems like the majority of people who attend there end up quitting.

I strongly disagree. BRCC is not the problem, it's the solution.

The entire CC system in LA is a shite show. Public education in this state a crying shame.

I did.

Seriously? A ton of people go there because they can't afford other bigger universities. Some good programs at BRCC. If you don't go there how can you even say what you did? Your deadbeat friends don't count as the "majority" you speak of.

Sometimes I want my opinion to be heard so badly that I start my own thread instead of responding to one of the threads that are already active.

None of my friends went there. Thanks for playing though.

So, you really know nothing about BRCC and its merits.

So how do you know the majority of people quit?

Finishing there isn't always the goal. Great place to get prereqs for a 4 year degree.

SUNO, RPCC, LSU -E, S, etc need to go first.

It was actually astounding that it took a city the size of Baton Rouge as long as it did to get a community college. Proof positive of the lack of planning for secondary education in the state.
And, no, BRCC isn't the problem. On any level.

Same thing happens at SLCC in Lafayette. I think I knew of one kid who successfully made the jump to a four year college.
