Story & Video
Yikes!!
And of course some defended it....

Tuesday’s show featured a debate about whether or not ‘pole fitness’ is suitable exercise for children, after psychologist Emma Kenny suggested that it sexualised youngsters.

However those watching were horrified when the item also featured a pole-dancing demonstration from three girls – eight-year-old Tilly-May and Timea and 11-year-old Mia – who were dressed in crop tops and black hotpants

With those names, they might as well start practicing early.

Why can't they just take gymnastics? Somebody is a perv or trying to make some weird point with having kids do this.

Tilly’s mother Lisa Grosse explained that her daughter took up pole dancing after being bullied at school over her weight – and said she had ‘never looked back’.

They're just branding it wrong.
Call it "vertical gymnastics" and it's all above board.

Something we can all agree on - the sexualization of children is a problem. Why would their own mother do something like this?

quote:Well...ummm...it is pretty much used by strippers 99% of the time...so...ummm...yea.

but if a stripper makes 7 figures a year by dancing, is it worth it to dance for 6 years of her young life?
