At his age, it's slightly down to barely lateral, but a doable challenge of building Miss back to some level of respectablity in the SEC West.

Lateral. Arkansas saw its best years when they were in the Texas a/k/a SWC.

Ole Miss saw their best days before intergration.

Given Arkansas' talent base and Ole Miss's in state competition (and a tough SEC), neither will ever be a top tier program.

Arkansas has had success b/c Nutt is a fighter. He'll make Ole Miss what Arkansas is now.

on balance, lateral.

He's going to a worse program, but probably one with lower expectations. And he's getting a little bit of a raise.

Deinitely a step down for Nutt. Arkansas has been to the SEC championship a few times. When is the last time you could say that about Ole Miss?

Are you guys taking facilities and money into consideration here? If so, there is no question...

Programs?

Down.

Ark has twice the facilities Ole Miss has.

Ark avgs 73k fans per home game to OM's 50k?.

Oxford is nice, but moving from a city always ranked high on best places to live lists to Mississippi....

He's getting more $ and lower expectations, so for Nutt, its actually a better situation overall.

Everybody wins.

IMO..Nutt isn't bad of a coach..he can definitly do more with less
I think he'll have good success at OleMiss

They went from a total nut job to a NUTT so I say its a lateral move.

Ark. is a better job than Ole Miss. After the big six I'd put Ark. 7th in terms of football programs in the SEC. Nutt could barely protect his home turf of Arkansas from out of state recruiters, I don't see how he'll be able to do it with Auburn, LSU, and Bama coming in from all sides.
