I lived in DC,TX, and GA. Use to feel the same way every time I crossed back into La.

Finally just moved back to start a family.

Welcome back! Nice to see a thread with ppl excited to come on back home to the boot. It's refreshing being that quite a few on here seem to hate it and start stupid threads about it. I've lived away in the past and crossing that state line was almost equivalent to hitting my fav dirt Rd as a teenager! If you love her for what she is, there's no better place!

Been there. Lived in Fairfax and Arlington. It's SOULESS up there. No "joie de vivre". No "how's your mom and them". No hanging on someone's porch just enjoying their company...

When young, I wanted to be better than my Home state. After traveling the country and the world, I just wanted to return here and never leave.

Love the positive state pride. Geaux Tigers.

Glad you are home....BUT.....the ideal combination is to be a Tigah fan and live in Texas. Houston is a most wonderful place.

I lived in Virginia for 5 years and WA State for 3. I know what its like not being close to the action. We'll all be together tomorrow, in front of a television.
