I have so many scenarios that I can see as plausible but one seems to stand out.
It would make sense to keep it secret until if/when she is charged by the DoJ. They could then leak it and hope to get sympathy. In that case the media will then truly make her out to be on her deathbed and how cruel and unjust it would be to force her to endure trial etc.
