Would be a home run hire IMO.

quote:

Former UConn head coach Bob Diaco is one of several candidates for Arkansas’ open defensive coordinator position and has interviewed for the job, sources told Sports Talk.
Diaco, the former defensive coordinator at Notre Dame from 2010-13 and Broyles Award winner in 2012, has experience with the 3-4 defense, something Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema plans to move forward with in 2017.

That would be a home run hire, but Beliema needs to learn how to close the deal.

Diaco is in Lincoln interviewing for the Nebraska DC job.

If Diaco wants to be here he will. Bert and Bob played together at Iowa, so there is some good history there.

If you want someone, you can't let me go interview at a more prestigious program. You have to close the deal.

Good read on Diaco's defense:

If we don't get Diaco it's Paul Rhoads job.

I would think so, but no number has actually been thrown around. When reports are "Arkansas is willing to pay the right guy" then that usually means a shite ton of money.

Bert shite in the bed again. Should never have let him leave campus without signing a deal.

Bert seems like a Miles 2.0, but with less recruiting ability.

I wouldn't go that far, Miles lost 28 SEC games, Bert has lost 22. Now Miles has won over 60 SEC games, Bert 10.

Miles also hired good defensive coaches, Pelini, Chavis, Aranda.

Dang that. BP. We hated back to back double digit wins and a top 4 ranking. Talk about leaving the cupboard bare.

I agree Coach Kragthorpe had 6 wins the next year.

John L smith had 4 wins.
