With Cousins being traded he lost tens of millions of dollars. He will stand to lose more if he doesn't resign in 2018. Couple that with he will be able to play next to AD and finally make the playoffs, I don't see him going anywhere.

I'm more confused if the kings think Reke will resign after previously leaving. Or if they even want him to resign.

If he's in the same situation (no playoffs), he might as well leave to a team that can make the playoffs.

I think it's as simple as if he resigns, it's a win, if he doesn't, it's a loss.

He's a great talent, let's just hope that equates to more wins.

If he doesn't(resign), and we don't trade him before he walks, the AD era will essentially be over.

So there is risk here because we basically went all in on our assets for this guy and if GM's really were hesitant on Cousins and he doesn't work out here in a bad way, even trading him might not be enough to recuperate.

It's the worst case scenario but it does exist.

Personally though, the more I read and hear, I think at a minimum they will both elevate the team enough that if it isn't a perfect fit, Cousins value will have gone up and we will at worst get a minor return on the investment.
