Is this implying that we should see some players at non-premium positions get drafted much higher than usual because the traditional premium positions do not have the proper "value". Or will we still see the standard reaches because if you are drafting in this range, that is when you take these positions?

None of these DE/OLBs, Tackles, QB, or WR are "elite prospects" that are going to be all-pro caliber.

While RB, DB, G, and MLB are the premium players

In any other year, are guys like Reese, Bain, Bailey, or Faulk even top 10 picks? No.

Would guys like Fano, Mauigoa go higher than say Banks last year? No.

Would Tyson, Tate, or Lemon even beat out guys like London, Olave, and Wilson a few years ago? No.

Of course you never know until they play in the pros, but this seems like a freaking stacked draft class.

this is already said to be a top-heavy class, the talented guys seemingly have really insane potential, but aterwards that cliff falls off hard.

Its why if Delane, Love, Styles, or Bailey are there, we need to take one.

I'm against taking a RB high, but Love has atheticism traits that are similar to CMC and Gibbs with top end speed. We'll see how he compares to them in short yard burst (shuttle, cone). That alone makes you have to consider taking him.

That being said, the value is Bailey. Elite pass rushing (even run defense deficient) guys are too valuable to skip.

At 8, 4/31mil (7.76mil) is the slotted value..

top 5 average Edge: 41.62mil
top 5 average CB: 26.32mil
top 5 average G: 21.8mil
top 5 average S: 21.031mil
top 5 average LB: 18.2mil
top 5 average RB: 16.17mil

That tells you enough...
Earlier this year, I thought we might jump into the back half of the 1st to take him. He's got crazy upside with a high floor. Thay dream is now gone.
I think we go styles or love round 1, pass rusher round 2, and bell and og round 3/4
9-7 is still 46 wins

Not enough to run it back. We need to bottom out WITH our picks.
That's all to say - if he's a good route runner, good change of direction, and good hands - he will be easily a #1.

Tate ran a 4.59 40. That’s too slow to be a WR1.

michael thomas was a 4.57 40 and remember we said he was slow too (that he was).

The difference is, CGM was 6'3" and 212lbs with 10 1/2" hands

Tate is 6'2" and 192lbs with 10 1/4" hands

Just need to go 22-0 the rest of the way for a chance.

Hes getting frustrated with the lack of calls
The nice part is - you can probably give minutes from Poole, mcgowen, and fears.

Murray is the best ball handler we have, it'd be nice to see him with zion and queen
He probably did, this team is going nowhere and he's going to get paid next year.

We couldn't and shouldn't be affording those luxuries financially

Can we stop drafting 6ft and below WRs? there's 2 part to this - being a good receiver is nice, but being unable to provide anything to the run game is problematic.

While our OL sucks, the downfield blocking also lacks our ability to get a big play as well.

2020: 6th in YPG - 49 yard longest run
2021: 15th in YPG - 44 yard longest run
2022: 19th in YPG - 60 yard longest run
2023: 21st in YPG - 29 yard longest run
2024: 14th in YPG - 75 yard longest run
2025: 28th in YPG - 34 yard longest run

Now its "top 5-6"

In a month it will be the top 3

Right now, there's 3 franchise caliber players.

People say whatever, but it's always been the same 3.

Peterson
Boozer
Dybantsa
There was 0 rush to trade it, that's the part I still don't quite get why it was done before season is over.

There's a real possibility, you could have just used that pick as the negotiating piece for the Atlanta lotto pick (that net queen) and not your own.
It's not a hard bar to be above latoya.

You could not do anything and be better than latoya, at least it won't cost the city tax dollars.

One thing...the big thing left out is guaranteed money. Per year players don't care much about cause the guaranteed money is where the contract is made. 30 million per for five years is great cause in just three years that will be a good deal. But how much will he ask for guaranteed as I expect it to be huge and I doubt much insurance will be accepted by his reps.

Just look at the top 10 guys and their guaranteed:

JJ - 88.7mil
Chase - 73.9mil
Lamb - 67mil
Metcalf - 60mil
Hill - 54mil (3yr)
Brown - 51mil (3yr)
Ridley - 47mil
Aiyuk - 45mil
McLaurin - 44.6mil (3yr)
Godwin - 44mil (3yr)

He's gonna get north of 40mil
I know a few guys in the stompers who have ruined marriages, families (with kids), all to hook up with these 'groupies'

Would rather sign a solid #2. This is a loaded fa class for wr2's

The issue is will they be paid like 1s?
I can see Taylor and Davis leaving. Jordan I think stays a lifer.
