Defeat Honduras 5-3 in PKs after a scoreless draw to win the first ever silverware at the U20 level.
Well done, especially after losing the first game.

After a rough start they played really well. Justen Glad was a boss as was EPB. Lennon was amazing this tourney. Was worried about losing Williamson as early as we did today. Had used 2 subs at half because of injuries to 2 of our better players.

I'm hopeful this inidcates we're actually making strides at the youth level, slowly but surely. This U20 team is nowhere close to what we're capable of fielding. We'll see guys like Pulisic and CCV at the World Cup.
The U17s were awful at the World Cup, and the U23 keep failing to qualify for the Olympics. Need to improve those levels, as well.

In addition, a ton of these kids are MLS academy products, so that should really excite US fans. The MLS academy system is in its infancy, yet has managed to already produce some solid youth talent. It will only improve with time.

Yeah I think 5 of them were from Salt Lake's Academy, that's 25% of the team.
I really liked Marlon Fossey. He was extremely smooth and composed on the ball. He develops for another year or two we may have our RB answer.

Good point, wasn't thinking.
Kind of slipped my mind as Juergen syndrome made me forget he wasn't a winger.

Greg Garza was capable last night.
Hopefully he stays healthy and improves.
About the U20s, this shows that are player pool is deeper and has more quality. The mls academies are a great factor.
