Pretty amazing aircraft although it was commercially disappointing and one exploded which brought it from safest major airline plane to unsafest.
Pretty cool to cruise at Mach 2 in luxury.

Saw one land at MSY in the mid-80s. Pretty cool looking aircraft. It was kind of a big deal because I think most Concorde flight landed in DC and NYC.

If you got to Austin executive airport they have a Concorde engine on display. Pretty impressive.

There is a Concorde displayed at the Smithsonian Air and Space museum in Dulles. Really impressive plane.

Yeah, I used to charter it all the time and fly me and my bros and some bitches to London or Paris to party for the night.
It was pretty cool.

I walked through the one at the Intrepid museum in NYC.
Good thing they were fast, because it's cramped as shite in there.

I have a customer that use to travel on it a lot. Said not only was it small, it was also incredibly loud inside. But the short flight time made up for it

The DC-10, the shitstain of the history of aviation, is what brought down the Concorde for the only time.
That crash and the post-9/11 airline industry is what did in the bird.

My grandfather did. He was an OT baller.
He flew it from London to New York. He said you could see the curvature of the earth out of the window.

If i remember correctly, there were few airports where they could land due to noise ordinances.

You can see this in conventional jets.
Likely a lot more pronounced I'm sure

I read where Richard Branson and Virgin are working on bringing back supersonic commercial travel starting in 2023 and making it significantly more affordable......like $4K for a one way which is a lot more expensive than a regular ticket but cheaper than the Concorde.

No but I used to charter an SR-71 when I need to get to Moscow in a hurry.

Back in the day, I used to Conc the Pond for Wimby. Now that they've let the commoners in wearing colors, I withdrew my support.

Right. Or maybe, mostly right. They couldn't fly supersonic over the continental U.S. Can't have them breaking windows across the country, I guess.
They generally landed on the eastern seaboard. If the Concorde can't haul arse, what's the point?
