11) Christian McCaffery, RB, Stanford
32) Traded for Malcolm Butler
42) Jordan Willis, DE, Kansas State
76) Derek Rivers, DE, Youngstown State
103) Will Holden, OT, Vanderbilt
196) Xavier Woods, S, LaTech
229) Stacy Coley, WR, Miami

Lose your shite? Be reasonably satisfied? Excited? Wait and see?

Disappointed because we need defense...but excited to see McCaffery in our offense.

Like when you say "noooo don't do that noooo" but really unconvincingly.

Would be really disappointed if they picked a RB in the first round. Seems I'm in the minority with that opinion though.

ETA: caveat being if one of the top 3 RBs fell to 32

No way on Holden.

And I thought Xavier Woods was in the wwe. Great video with Paige btw. The two on one thing was a bit unfair to her though.

I would like it. We get an offensive playmaker to help offset the loss of Cooks. We get a premier corner and we address pass rush with two picks. O-line depth is a must so another good selection. 6th and 7th rounders could both contribute on special teams.

all in all, not bad.

What round should the Saints address the LB position? Do the saints really need a running back at #11 in the first round?

McCaffrey at 11 ruins it for me. The rest I'm fine with

If you're fine with the rest of it, why does McCaffery ruin it for you?

I wouldn't mind that, especially if all the top DE are gone. really don't want them to "reach" for one not deserving of #11 just because there are no other top DE options left

I'm a fan of McCaffery but not at #11. I do not think the limited role justifies the selection. Reggie was the perfect example. Most of us liked him and thought he was a vital element to the SB run. Still, in retrospect I cannot say he produced up to #2 overall status.

I would ask this question: Would you be satisfied with McCaffery if he produced the same as Reggie for five years? The most carries he had in a season here was 157. He started of strong as a rookie with 88 catches but went down every single year after that- to 34 in his final year. The best measure was prolly per game. Would you take McCaffery for 35 yds rushing per game and 5 catches per game?

PS- not much diff for Sproles for 3 years, 4.3 carries for 24yds per game, 5.3 catches per game

It's a vital dynamic role in this offense, just nor #11 vital. I much prefer later Joe Mixon, Curtis Samuel, or even ULL McGuire.

Of course not.

I just don't see the Saints utilization of a feature back worth the 11th pick as well as having a gadget swiss army back really changing the dynamic of our offense that much to be worthy of that selection. I think McCaffery can put up numbers in our offense but i don't know if his numbers really make us a better team if that makes any sense.

You got McCaffery too high to be just a 3rd down back in this system.

McCaffery wouldn't be utilized that much just as a RB, I really think he could step in and be a Wes Welker/Julian Edelmen type player in the slot, plus some time at RB, KR/PR. He can moved around a lot.

I've got the hots for Derek Rivers, but I don't think he'll make it to the third round.
