3-0 over Barnsley while Villa (with 10 men) drew with Brighton.
I could dig up some recent "couldn't even win the 2nd division" quotes from some of y'all, but you know who you are

Relegation isn't something to celebrate. Nevertheless, grats.

Just finished watching Yedlin live on IG, it was pretty funny

It is a shame that such a big club could only manage to stay up in tGOATpionship for only one season. They were not ready for the grind of traveling to Burton Albion and Preston North End.

It's a grind, no doubt.

Brighton were likely the better team all year. I hear our former GK, David Stockdale, messed up and gave the title to the Geordies.
Reading, here we come. Fulham are one of the hottest teams in the league, right now. Hope we don't flop, that would be purely Fulhamish.

Based on what?
Newcastle had the most wins, most goals, and best goal difference.

Huh. I must've dreamt the bottom three finish he had last year.

Is Ashley gonna back him with £ this summer?

Well, let's see.
Someone said enjoy bottom three next year.
You said it wouldn't happen with Rafa around.
But Newcastle stayed in the bottom three with Rafa last year. In fact, when he was hired, Newcastle was one point from safety. Newcastle finished the season two points from safety.
If stating facts makes me stupid, I'm proud to be an idiot in your eyes, bud.

How much Newcastle did you watch last year?
Rafa took over a completely lifeless squad that had picked up just 7 points from its previous 11 matches and gave it direction and confidence and ended the season picking up 12 points in the last 6.
I realize things like "nuance" and "context" aren't really your bag, but I know you're not this obtuse. If you're saying with a straight face you expect Newcastle to be bottom 3 next year with Rafa then you're just a liar and bad one at that.
