Looking for a book on historical Wars

Specifically, a book that would have several chapters with a brief history of different wars. Not one entire book about the Civil War or French Revolution, etc.
Just something to educate me on a brief history of some of the great wars that shaped our civilization.
Any suggestions? Audio books or Podcasts are okay as well. I have listened to a few editions of Hardcore History already. TIA

This might be what you are looking for. But it is at least as focused on the cultural differences as it is on the battles so it is not just a summary of key battles. More an examination of key battles and how the cultures influenced the outcome.
Victor Davis Hanson is pretty cool, he has spent a lot of time in academia in California and leftist/revisionist academics hate him with a passion. Dan Carlin likes his stuff, though, and I picked this up after listening to him on one of Carlin's shows.

Oxford history of modern war by Charles Townshend. Covers the development of modern warfare from the military revolution (14-1700s) through the cold war.
Art of war in the middle ages by cwc Oman. Covers 378-1515. Discusses the change in tactics during the time, has primary sources with citations, focused on the byzantine, Swiss, and English.
Western ways of war covers the infantry warfare of classical Greece.

You could try The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers too, which is a bit more general.
