Just Finished Gorky Park

I've been on a Russian kick, having read the short story The Overcoat and now Gorky Park. I realize it's fictional, but still a good look into the Soviet legal system and the KGB. Looking forward to watching the film next.

I've been thinking about listening to that whole series.
I love any kind of Cold War story.

I'm reading Stalin's Ghost now.
A few weeks ago it was Havana Bay. I hadn't read M.C. Smith in a while. Never read one I didn't like. Trying to catch them all. cheers:

It's good. Obviously the author isn't Russian, but apparently he did an ungodly amount of research for the book and the whole story of how he pulled the book off in the first place is pretty fascinating.
I finished the film as well. I didn't like some of the changes they made to the plot but it was otherwise pretty good. I'd rate the book 4/5 and the movie 3/5

I'm usually a non-fiction reader but wanted to get more familiar with Russia/Societ Union and thought this would be a good way to ease into that. I may pick up a few of his other books down the road.
