But this has an orchestrated feel to it, makes me wonder if there was something bigger going to come out, and Dems/Repubs reached a compromise to keep that concealed by sacrificing a couple of their own.

I was thinking in a similar way earlier today. The only difference I had was what if only the Democrats are in on this takedown?

What if they have something pretty bad on a prominent Republican that they are going to drop right before the Midterms.

They would want to be able to say that they had cleaned up their house, so Republicans need to do the same.

Plus the added benefit of getting him out of the Governor’s race.

One of my favorites was the night the guy stole the large body airplane in Washington and started doing barrel rolls.

As his fuel got low he just “pointed the nose down and called it a night”.

If I understand correctly you can get some ownership of it right now by buying shares of the XOVR etf.

I’m just happy that he used the word “Obliterated” instead of the commonly misused “Decimated”.

I have no idea why, but the misuse of “Decimated” drives me up a wall.

The PHM audiobook is amazing but you gotta go straight into Noble House after Tai-Pan.
I’m gonna skip Project Hail Mary and go this space movie instead.

I enjoyed the 20th Century series and the Knightsbridge series, both by Ken Follett.

Not to be that guy… lol

But it is the Kingsbridge series.

You are definitely correct on it being very good and John Lee is a great narrator.

Why did he shoot a police officer (Tippit) who merely approached him in an extraordinarily normal neighborhood encounter?

It may exist but I’ve never seen it.

I would like to see a deep dive background investigation into Ofc. JD Tippit.
I listen to a lot of audiobooks. This one was a masterpiece.

I haven’t been to the movies in 15 years but I’m going see this one.
We’ve gone after Iran’s nuclear program several times over the years and it’s a shame that 2 of our “best” allies will be Muslim controlled countries in the next 20 years.

And those two countries have huge nuclear arsenals.

I have a couple of P938s.

Pocket carry one all the time in a sticky holster.

I have many rounds through them at the range and mine have functioned flawlessly.

Try the Harry Flashman novels.

Very funny and educational.
How can I stream it if it’s not available on Peacock?
