how can we expect the FBI director to know if the FBI is wire tapping the opposing party's campaign manager? "I didn't know" worked for Hitler6. A statement has already been drafted clearing him, just waiting until after the investigation to release it.

Clapper was the the DNI not the FBI Director, regardless there is noway there was a FISA warrant that he wasn't personally aware of, especially on someone as high profile as the campaign (or former) manager of a major political party candidate for President.
Absolutely no one that headed any agency under Obama was an honest person though, no one.
