Craziest ending to a basketball game I have ever seen...

This may look a lil lengthy, but it's as short as I could get it to give you an accurate depiction.
So last night I went to the Albany/Mcmain 3A boys playoff game. Albany was down by 1 and had the ball with 10 seconds left. They put up a shot and miss and Mcmain grabs the rebound. Albany fouls the Mcmain player with 0.1 seconds on the clock sending him to the line for 2 shots(it was double bonus). Now most people, including myself, would think the game would be over. Seriously, Mcmain is shooting 2 free throws, with the lead, with only 0.1 seconds on the clock. So people start to file out of the gym. Well, out of nowhere for some odd reason, one of the Mcmain players untucks his jersey and attempts to remove it before the freethrows are shot. The referees instantly T him up. UNBELIEVABLE!!! So now Albany gets 2 technical shots after Mcmain attempts their 2 foul shots. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. The Mcmain player at the line then manages to miss not one but both free throws. Now Albany has a chance to tie or win it with their free throws. The first rims out. The second hits the back of the iron, bounces high in the air, and straight through the net. The game then proceeds to overtime where Albany wins it 67-63!
Definetly the weirdest ending to any game that I have ever seen.

that ref is a bitch.
It's a tough call to make right there...but this year espically lhsaa was enforcing that rule. They made it a HUGE point of order at all coaches meetings and everything to make sure don't untuck your jersey while on the court..if it comes undone naturally put it in next dead ball...its a weird rule..but myself seen multiple tech's given out during my games this year from players doing it. I'm not sure why the rule was implented this year..but the ref was def. following a rule that the state has been enforcing very heavily this year

I think it's bullshite for a kid untucking his jersey to change the outcome of a game... but he also should know better than to do that before the game is over. Kinda like that NFL guy who took his helmet off on the field a few years back.

Could the coach done anything there? Maybe a timeout would of been enough distraction to keep the T from being called. Prob didnt have any left though since it was a tight game. What a shitty way to end a game though.

The ref couldn't remind the guy that he needed to keep the jersey on until the end of the game? I don't think Albany would have minded.

If thats how my senior season ended someone would have been kicked in the balls.

What's the minimum amount of time you need to take a shot? 0.5 seconds?
The smart thing would be to not take the free throw at all and walk off the court. Or at least have 4 members of the team walk off the court.
Not sure what I think of the ref but when is impossible it is literally impossible for Albany to win, you don't call that.

there was a famous episode a few years ago in North Louisiana in the boys playoffs where the game was over, the teams were leaving the court and a tech was called
Team A is winning the game by 1pt. The game ends, the horn sounds and the teams start to line up to shake hands. Even though he won, Team A's coach mouths off to the reffs as they prepare to leave the court. By rule, the game is not official until all reffs leave the "visible confines" of the court. So the lead reff turns to hear Coach A, coach A continues the verbal assault and the Reff T's him up.
Team B goes to the line, makes both technical FTs and wins the game.
